The show’s new episode “A Christmas Carol” has been nominated for a BAFTA for outstanding TV movie, the Hollywood Reporter reports.
The episode, which has a story about a man who has lost his son, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Musical for Best Original Score and Best Cinematography for a Motion Picture.
In addition, the show’s music, “Christmas Is Coming,” won a Grammy Award for Out of Competition Music for Best Rock Performance for the song “A Little Snow in New York.”
“The episode is a celebration of all the wonderful moments of Christmas,” said “Mad Men” executive producer Robert Greenstein.
“It also touches on the difficult aspects of Christmas and the need for the individual to find meaning in the season.
I think it is very fitting to have an episode that celebrates the year that is right around the corner.”
The BAFTA nominations were announced on Thursday, with “Christmas Carol” also receiving nominations for Outstanding Musical Score and Outstanding Cinematography.
“Christmas is coming” is set to premiere in theaters on Dec. 15, 2019.
